I am going through that delicate transitional stage at the time of year whereby my monthly hypnotherapy diploma ends and I start to prepare for the next ones that are coming up in Autumn.

This years guys still have plenty of homework to complete and portfolios to finalise and ends to tie up with case studies, but the actual tuition is over and I always get a bit sentimental because I have been through a great deal with these guys over the previous year. Many of them I know I am going to encounter a lot more. Here are most of them posing for a group photo and taking it very seriously. (I say most because a bunch of fabulous people involved in this diploma are not here)

This year, we went out on a very high note and I decided to join them all for an evening of firewalking which one of the students offered to host and we had much merriment!

We walked on glowing hot coals, we hugged, we drank bubbly, I ate my body weight in sausages and cheese, we played games involving dibbles, spoof, table slapping, we watched the stars and played lawn bowls in the dark past midnight. What great fun and high jinx we had.

I thought I’d offer up the words of a handful of this years students to share with you what they thought about this years hypnotherapy practitioner diploma:

My name is Ruth Saint and I have just completed the 10 month Diploma  course  (2010/2011) at the Adam Eason School of Therapeutic Hypnosis. I received my first diploma from Adam on our final weekend training session and I am now a qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist. I have another certificate (NLP) on it’s way from America and I am currently just putting the finishing touches to my HPD ready for submission. One point that I would like to emphasise here is that, none of this would have been possible, if it wasn’t for Adam putting himself out to accommodate me on this course.  I was not in a financial position to fund this course in advance and so needed to take out a Career Development Loan to cover the fee, I had looked around at several providers but knew without any doubt that Adams course was the one for me, and that Adam was the person that I wanted to be my tutor. However Adam was not a registered provider and  I was told that I could only take out a loan with a registered provider.

Knowing that I didn’t want to train with anyone else, I got in contact with Adam, told him how much I wanted to attend his school in Bournemouth,  and explained the situation. Adam immediately went through the process and became a registered provider just to ensure that I could attend the course, the loan was secured shortly after, and the rest is history. I am indebted to Adam for this as qualifying from Adams school is without a doubt a huge life changing experience for me.

Becoming a qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist is for me the biggest achievement to date,  having been someone who left school at the age of 15 with no formal exams or qualifications. However do not think for one moment that this course is something you just attend and get awarded a certificate at the end. It is a very demanding course and there is a huge amount of coursework. There hasn’t been one day that I haven’t been pulled out of my comfort zone.  I am amazed at how much I have achieved and how much I have progressed and grown as a person, and am still discovering my abilities daily.

Adam is an excellent tutor who adds a lot of humour to his teaching, many a class was filled with roars of laughter and I will miss them so much. As a tutor Adam is very honest and will bring out the very best in you, he’s dynamic, enthusiastic and will help you out in any way he can. In between sessions he is at the end of the phone (when possible) and will always give you the benefit of his knowledge and expertise.

My choice to go with Adam was definitely for me the correct decision, and I will continue to have Adam as my supervisor.

Adam also organises Peer groups and hypno geek dinners that I will be attending, and know that Adam will be someone that I can confide in should I need to do so in the future.
So to sum up on the above, Adam is much much more than just a tutor, he is an outstanding teacher and an exceptional kind and helpful person who will be there to support you not only during the course, but long after.

Thank you Adam Eason

Choosing a tutor and training school that will not only give you the highest possible standards of tuition, but also make your personal journey to becoming a hypnotherapist exciting and fun is a daunting prospect. The wrong decision can not only cost you a lot of money, but could ultimately leave you feeling unprepared to make the transition from student to therapist.

I originally obtained a Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy over ten years ago at a London based training college that is generally considered to be one of the most reputable in the country. Despite the high standard of training I received, I felt unprepared to launch myself into business as a hypnotherapist as my tutors had not instilled in me the self confidence, belief and skill set necessary to think for myself and develop my own individual style and approach to therapy. Inevitably, with no ongoing support, or the slightest clue as to how to go about making a living from my qualification, it was not long before I, and the vast majority of my fellow students had abandoned our dreams of pursuing a career as a hypnotherapist.

My desire to help people never waned, and I felt sure that I had something to offer, if only I could find that special somebody to help me tap into my potential. So, it was with trepidation that I once again found myself looking for a trainer, only this time, I knew what I was looking for. Somebody who could inspire and motivate me, push me to be the best I could be, practically demonstrate the therapeutic skills that have made him one of the most successful hypnotherapists in the country, and share with me the secrets of running a profitable hypnotherapy practice. The moment I stumbled across Adam’s website I knew my search was over.

Training with Adam has been a joy, and his individual style and humour a breath of fresh air. The level of support and commitment I have received from Adam is second to none, and it doesn’t end with the course. I have worked harder in these past ten months than at any other time in my life, but I have enjoyed every moment of it. I can honestly say that I feel I have acquired a breadth of knowledge and skill that will enable me to help my clients on a number of levels, and I am confident in my ability to be an excellent therapist. I can’t wait to set myself up in business and finally realise that dream of making hypnotherapy my career.

Embarking on Adam Eason’s Diploma course has been a positive life changing experience.
Adam brings unlimited knowledge, passion and commitment to the subject and sincere dedication to all his students.

Adam is there to encourage, support and believes in your abilities to reach your full potential.
I highly recommend the course if you want to make personal change or change your career.
If Adam Eason’s School had an ofsted report it would be “AMAZINGLY OUTSTANDING”.

If you are looking for a pink, fluffy, sandal wearing tutor, to guide you gently through your hypnotherapy training, then Adam is probably not the one for you. If, however, you want to train with someone who has an incredible depth of knowledge and passion for the subject, who will push you out of your comfort zone and help you realise your potential, then look no further. When looking to train in hypnotherapy I contacted Adam and arranged to meet with him to discuss the course. I arrived at his office and was greated by this warm, upbeat, engaging individual – I immediatley felt comfortable chatting with him and knew when leaving his office after an hour that he was the right tutor for me. Having now completed my training I can say it has been a truly amazing ten months, with many, many laughs. Adam has such a belief and passion for hypnotherpay it is infectious , combine that with the care and desire he has for his students to succeed and you have a winning combination.

Adam is unique trainer or as I like to think now, my mentor. With a perfect balance of seriousness and fun mixed together, he creates an enjoyable and learning atmosphere which keeps you wanting more. I spent over a year looking at different courses and chatting to other trainers and I can honestly say that I made the best choice that was right for me.

Adam’s knowledge and passion for the subject surpasses that of anyone else I have met in this field and Adam is very generous with his sharing of that knowledge. It is obvious from the beginning that Adam knows what he’s doing and that you have made the right choice in joining the course. Prepare to amaze yourself in the things you know and can talk about with others confidently as you progress through the course, I did and I still do today.
If you want an enjoyable learning experience with a trainer that really does want you to be the best you can be, then take that next step.  To sum up the course in three words,  Creative, Enjoyable, Diverse.

So my thanks go out to all of this years students, many of whom I now consider to be friends… I wish them well for the future and now I look forward to welcoming the next groups in Autumn in Bournemouth and York.
