It is that time of year. I am just about to check out of the office for the festive season. Before I do so though…. Yes, you guessed it…. More party selfies…. And a quirky video clip to share with you all…..
Wednesday night was the hypnosis gang Christmas party here in Bournemouth. Every year we invite graduates, students, and friends of the college to come and join in the fun where we eat, drink and be merry. To put this into some context, I had a warm-up gin at 5pm just before leaving home and recall it was 4am or so when my friend Steve Baxter bought me my final gin of the night. In addition to this spectacle of endurance, there were a couple of other noteworthy victories from the night:
1. I was last man on the dance floor at the end of the night. A tradition I have held and accomplished for the past 5 years.
2. I won 9 consecutive games of pool in a hotel bar between the hours of 1am and 3am.
3. I had the single worst hangover of my entire lifetime, bar none, yesterday. To the point where as I left home in the dark this morning to get to the gym, I sniffed the air and checked everything around me before stepping foot out of the door. Like a bear, post-hibernation.
4. We somehow managed to carry off a mannequin challenge, at the END of dinner (this was quite late and drinks had been consumed) that had a hypnosis theme of sorts and raised many an eyebrow with other hotel guests. Here is a video of our efforts with that….. Watch out for spoon bending, full body catalepsy, hand sticks and a spooky Sith Choke performed on our cameraman…..
It was a lot of fun.

As I head out of the office today, I know it has been a great year for us, and we have worked hard. I just wanted to thank my business partner Keith and his son Tom for all their hard work behind the scenes making so much possible here. Importantly, I want to thank those of you who have studied with us, who have supported us, who tune in to the blogs and the podcasts, and who have connected with us in some way. It is a real honour to have connected with so many utterly wonderful and special people this year, thank you.
