Following me having the spent the last week or so indulging myself with exploration about the brain and hypnosis (I have not finished with that subject just yet) I thought I’d offer you up some respite from that today….  In fact we are going to get healthily energised.

I was amazed to be up and walking around in the dark this past week. Yes indeed, 6am is now dark where it has been so light throughout the Summer. Which is what happens, ministry of the bleeding obvious from yours truly there! I have started wearing warmer clothing to work and sleep in. I am not running in just vests when training anymore. The Summer tops are no longer working at the sea front, so I have to train wearing my big camelback (brand) backpack which carries two litres of water instead of a single bottle when running. All indicators that the Summer is over and that Autumn is here.

The upside to Autumn for me is that the TV schedules start getting very cool for the Winter months. X-Factor is well underway and I have to say I love the new judges line-up, I’ll actually watch plenty of this series due to the new additions of Gary Barlow, Tulisa Contostavlos and Kelly Rowland.  My wife is a Strictly Come Dancing fan and even I (as a non-fan) think the line-up is exciting this season. There are new series of Terra nova, Downton Abbey, Modern Family and a wealth of new and favourite comedy shows on (Fresh Meat looks hilarious and I may even start watching Two and a Half Men with Ashton Kutcher in it) as well as new seasons of some of my favourite drama and big budget TV shows… Swings and roundabouts as far as Autumn goes then, eh?

I have said it before and I’ll say it again, I love the changing seasons here in the UK. They are less severe here on the south coast, but I love watching the scenery change colour and I get excited by the darker evenings just as much as I do when they get lighter in late spring. I love the changes in my own garden… I start planning for next year, moving shrubs around, choosing what vegetables I’ll grow next year and finishing the harvest from this years crops and goodies.

It all keeps me driven and motivated and moving.

As it happens, I am running my third marathon of the year this coming Sunday. It is the New Forest marathon so is close to where I live. The course is almost entirely uphill and goes through multi-terrain. It is very tough. For me, I’ll be looking to survive rather than get a good time in this race, and enjoy some of the beautiful scenery.

Back on topic… With the change of season, has come the new academic year for me, I start with a new group of students on my fully booked monthly diploma and then have the second 9 day tuition block for my intensive diploma, both in October, meaning that I have a very busy time ahead of me. Add to that my continued marathon training, my current research studies with the Open University, new product launches, my busy client schedule, and maintaining my marriage to my amazing and supportive wife… Well, it could potentially leave a man feeling pooped.

With the change of the season, and with all that is actively going on right now, todays self-hypnosis process is aimed to help you stay healthily energised.  Using atoms. Boom!

Steps To Use Self-Hypnosis To Atomically Energise Yourself:

Step One:

Hypnotise yourself. You can do so by any means you desire or know of. You can use the process in my Science of self-hypnosis book, use the free audio we give away on this website to practice or have a look at the following articles as and when you need them; they are basic processes to help you simply open the door of your mind:

Heavy Arm Self-Hypnosis Induction Method
Using Eye Fixation for Self-Hypnosis
The Chiasson Self-Hypnosis Method
Hand to Face Self-Hypnosis Induction
Using Magnetic Hands for Self-Hypnosis
The Coin Drop Self-Hypnosis Induction

However, with this process, an induction is potentially too much activity, so I teach my clients how to adopt a hypnotic mindset and simply have a mindset that is positive and expectant. Again, to really understand the cognitive set of the hypnotic mindset, go grab a copy of my Science of self-hypnosis book where it is explained in simple but comprehensive terms.

Then imagine yourself in a special place, a favourite place, somewhere you have been to before or somewhere you create in your mind. Spend some time seeing the sights, colours and hearing the sounds, feeling the sensations of peace, tranquillity and safety here in this place. once you have really established that in your mind move on to step two.

Step Two:

Engage your imagination in whatever way is the best for you, interpreting these things however you prefer. Find yourself in a tunnel that you cannot see the end of. Create the tunnel in your own mind with the colours, sounds, textures, dimensions and contours of your own choosing.

Imagine walking down the tunnel and as you walk further inwards and downwards, you can make suggestions to yourself that you are reaching deeper inside of your mind too.

As a side note, some people are not comfortable with tunnels. If so, you can have lots of big windows and access to light and air and design it in a way that ensures you feel safe, comfortable and at ease. Keep walking deeper into the tunnel and when you are ready to take the next step, move on.

Step Three:

As you walking further into the tunnel, start to imagine and notice a flickering of lights towards in the distance. You choose what colour the lights are, and start to notice that the lights are flickering and flashing and are very birght. They shine and feel good to observe and allow yourself to steadily get closer to the lights.

As you draw closer, you notice that the lights that are flashing before you actively are actually atoms of energy. There are hundreds of thousands of atoms flashing on and off, moving through the tunnel, foiled with energy and light.

As you draw nearer to them, start to extend your arms, stretch out and point your body and palms toward the atoms and notice them start to be attracted to you. Notice the atoms starting to fly towards you in a comfortable, vibrant and enjoyable way and sense how your body embraces the atoms as they land upon you and are absorbed by you. When you have started to notice this happening, move on to the next step.

Step Four:

Take as much time as you need now to enjoy absorbing all that wonderful energy, vibrancy and zest for life. Feel yourself being uplifted by the atoms filling you with vigour and energy and life force. Imagine the colours spreading through your body and get a sense of how it feels to have that flowing through you right now.

Absorb all that you feel you need, bask in the energy for a while, let it fill your senses and start to think of all the things that you can do now as a result of having this increased healthy energy. Imagine the energy getting more powerful and is coursing through every cell of your body and whenever you notice your thoughts becoming more positive and progressive as a result, move on to the next step.

Step Five:

Whenever you feel really filled up with positive energy, think about the actions you can take to make this an amazing day ahead, think about how you can make the most of the time you have and notice the energy within every part of you.

See the end of the tunnel and start to walk towards it as you glimmer and glisten with the vibrancy and inspiration of feeling so uplifted and ready to go.

As you get to the end of the tunnel and step outward, wiggle your finger and toes, open your eyes and go about your day keeping that energy with you.

This is a fabulous process to give yourself a pep and get yourself focused and feeling alive. Even if the days do get seasonally shorter, you can get energised and uplifted and feeling fabulous and productive with your time.

It gets said a great deal in personal development circles, but go and make sure you make the most of your day with this lovely way of enhancing your ability to do so.
