I have been meaning to comment on this hypnosis article I read at the Daily Mail Online for a while now…
I really like it because it shows someone who knew relatively little about hypnosis and its applications for enhancing childbirth, was originally very sceptical… Then was transformed in opinion when he experienced it.
There is not much more or me to add to be honest, I just like to see a sway of opinion when people have first hand experience of the benefits of hypnosis…
Read about hypnotic natural childbirth here.
Things are likely to be quieter around here until the New Year…
Hypnobirthing is so much more than simply a painless, drugless birth. After doing natal regressions I can see a very strong pattern that the birthing experience is imprinted on the baby as a worldview. It’s amazing how many clients regress back to birth when working on an issue. Drug abuse or lack of focus often go back to an epidural or general anesthesia. Loss of control or a feeling of being a burden often go back to a c-section. Feelings of not belonging or being unwanted to back to womb-time realizations of being the product of an unwanted or unplanned pregnancy. Lots of research shows that babies and even fetuses react to their environments and do show cognitive function, recognizing emotions, voices, music, and things like that, so it is no surprise that these things can become subconscious thought patterns influencing the rest of a person’s life.
So anything that makes the birth a more pleasant, natural, healthy experience for both mother and child has far-reaching benefits.
