I am really very crazy busy today… As such am unable to write a full, hearty, red-blooded blog entry… Instead, I am just going to point you to an article that I really enjoyed reading that featured in the New York Times…

The article is entitled The Possibilities In Hypnosis; Where The Patient Has The Power… Great title, eh? Do have a read.

One of the interesting things it states is that when asked, many people did not think they had been hypnotised in the session… This happens a fair bit, I think… I put it down to those individuals having the incorrect expectation at the beginning… They need o be correctly educated, their introduction or ‘pre-talk’ need to create the correct expectation so that they know what to look for and what it is that indicates to them that they were in hypnosis…

Often if you ask someone “So, you think you weren’t hypnotised? Had you been hypnotised before?” and the answer comes “no”… You have to think “Well, how do you know you wewren’t hypnotised then?!  😉

The great news with the article though is that it shows, regardless of whether they think they were hypnotised or not… They all got their desired outcome… Great news!

Ok, I have to get on… More tomorrow!
