Like the article. Reminds me of one of my many successful attempts to give up smoking by the Allen Carr ‘Easy Way’. He asks you to keep smoking throughout reading the book and then basically uses every condescending trick in the book to make you look inward and feel like a right d**k.

Ironic that he made millions on his system that he said didn’t need a hypnotic process, when he openly admitted it was ‘in spite of the hypnosis’ he received that he did eventually stop in the first place… or, I wonder, did he just miss the point …?

PS. yes I said ‘many successful attempts’ because each one was very successful (Allen Carr, 6 months; acupuncture, 8 months) – I’m just a bit weak at parties when I believe I’m fully ‘cured’. Next time, eh 😉
