It is thanksgiving, so to all my pals and friends in the US and anywhere else celebrating thanksgiving today — I send you my best wishes…

When I was younger, I was vaguely aware of what other people were doing in the world… Yet I think that I am now well and truly becoming middle aged! Let me tell you why…

As I have been mentioning in my members area,  I was outside earing my woolly hat yesterday afternoon planting 22 Escallonias that I ordered from hedgesdirect.co.uk (Yes — Hedges Drect! Hahaha) to form a new hedgerow across part of my front garden… It is hilarious… I am turning into a middle aged man, yet manage to do it in a modern technological way… Plus I got to small talk with my neighbours as they were coming and going which was rare because most of my gardening takes place out back…

I am delighed with my hedgerow. It is going to flower red late next spring too. It is aiding the “English Cottage garden look” which is my favourite garden style.

I don’t like low maintenence gardens and I like things to look wild. So there are no palm trees or other spiky things that have never been native of England in my garden.

Yessiree… Middle aged existence here we come….

I am off on a local brewery tour tonight… Forget nightclubbing, disco dancing and big time glamour bars… I am going to Ringwood brewery with my friends to be shown how it is made, then sample varieties of flat, warm, real ale and the go to the Breweries own RIngwood pub on the village green for a slap up ploughmans washed down by more real ale.

To add to this middle agedness, the biggest concern of my existence right now seems to be that Nottingham Forest football manager has apprently quit or been sacked but the media has no definite answers… I am scouring the sports news and sports gossip blogs for anything conrete… RUmours are that e are getting Big Sam Allardyce… And I am not sure he suits our footballing style!

So nothing about hypnosis, psychology or personal development today… 😉

On a light note today… I read a piece of odd and rather amusing news. This article tells of a drunken driver who ran over himself… Hahahaha…

An American man believed to be driving drunk lead police officers on a
wild chase that promptly ended when he somehow managed to run himself
over , reports Metro.

State Police Officer Grace Romero spotted
the 21-year-old man’s truck swerving across both lanes of a highway at
erratic speeds. Despite repeated warnings, the driver refused to stop.

After
pursuing the driver and observing him narrowly miss a number of other
vehicles, police watched the suspect drive through a ditch and a barbed
wire fence before eventually coming to a halt.

The driver then
attempted to put the truck into park, but found the reverse gear
instead. As he did so, he fell through the car’s open door and both his
legs were run over by the front driver’s side tyre.

The
21-year-old man was treated for minor injuries at a Santa Fe hospital
and booked in to the Sandoval County detention center on charges of
aggravated driving while intoxicated, fleeing a police officer,
careless driving and two other outstanding traffic warrants.

So once again, Happy Thanksgiving to all those of you celebrating it today… Reagrdless of how much I drink tonight, I’ll have something relevant to say tomorrow… If not tinged with  little more middle aged-ness 🙂
