We won! Yay...

Well, as the BBC1 pundits said at the end of the game... They seem to have a bit more confidence.

That is what we need!

Ok, so with all due respect to Switzerland, they are no major footballing nation and had some key players out with injury, we had a couple of debutant players in, our defence looked shaky and out of position every now and then, we had a crappy first half finding our feet with a new system and there was 87,000 expectant fans who were booing in the first half when we played possession football and sometimes sent the ball backwards! (what is wrong ith those fans by the way!!??)

Howevuuur.... We played with confidence in the second half, scored two goals, even got creative here and there and then the fickle fans even starting chanting "Olé" when we kept the ball and passed it backwards!

Footballing technicalities side... we are developing the mindset. And Fabio Capello is known for his strength of mind personally and professionally. It is that which is going to enable us to reach some potential. A warm welcome to Fabio Capello from Adam Eason ;-)
