Ok, so just a quick reminder… Tonight is the night… At 7pm UK time we are going to have the latest teleseminar and webcast… Go to this page on my website to register for free… It is going to be a good one… Alan Tutt is going to answer the question “what do you get when you cross NLP with the law of attraction?” — I for one am intrigued to here the answer to that one!
Onwards and upwards… I just do not seem to understand how it is that some people arrive at certain places in their lives… For example, a girl spent 18 years only able to eat chicken nuggets? I mean, how, why, what? Sooo many questions…
This hypnotherapy article at the Mirror online states:
Relieved Carla Laban finally has a healthy diet — after 18 years of eating nothing but chicken nuggets and chips.
Student Carla, 20, was just two when her family discovered chicken nuggets was the only meal that did not make her feel violently sick.
From then on, she skipped breakfast each day then had nuggets for lunch and dinner, eating around 30 a day.
But now Carla has been weaned off her unhealthy diet by a hypnotherapist and is starting to eat vegetables and pasta.
She said yesterday: “I can remember having chicken nuggets and chips for the first and thinking, ‘I can eat this without being sick’.
“Before that, I couldn’t eat anything without having a panic attack and my throat tightening up. I couldn’t even stand the smell of other food.” Carla did lots of exercise and took vitamins to aid her unbalanced diet — but it still affected her health.
She said: “I used to get ill quite a lot. While classmates would have a cold for a week, I’d have one for four.
“People thought I was being fussy. They didn’t understand that I physically couldn’t eat anything else.”
When Carla, from Coventry, began preparing to go to university her family was worried her nugget addiction would make life away from home difficult.
So they arranged for her to see hypnotherapist Russell Hemmings, who gradually weaned her off nuggets.
Now she is eating a wider range of foods — and is improving every day. She said: “I feel so much better — although there are still some foods I won’t touch.”
Mum Donna, 40, said: “When Carla was little we tried everything but nothing worked. The night she first ate real food I was ecstatic.”
How the hypnotherapy helped
Russell Hemmings used hypnotherapy to first persuade Carla to take the small step of eating chicken goujons rather than nuggets.
From there, she moved on to pizza with slices of chicken, then slowly on to other foods.
Russell said: “I have treated a lot of people for food phobias, but everyone is different.”
197,100 What Carla’s eaten ..30 nuggets a day, 365 days a year, for 18 years. Average cost of £5 a day.
I am surprised she did not look like a chicken nugget after 18 years of that! I am also surprised that her brain developed enough for her to be able to use it effectively and get to university… Of course though… Hypnotherapy to the rescue; the hypnotherapist rode in on the white horse and saved the day!
Ok, looking forward to speaking to many of you tonight…
