Well over the past couple of days the TV news programmes here in England have been showing footage of a young chap who broke into what the police refer to as a ‘honey trap.’ That is, a car which has been rigged with lots of cameras and has lots of bits and pieces worth stealing lying around in it…

So then, the lured thief breaks in, gets caught on camera and our bulging jails get to bulge some more… That was the 10 seconds of news time not used to discuss the credit crunch…

As it transpires, this particular criminal even had his own name and birthdate tattooed on his neck and was caught on camera… Aa-hahahaha… A comedy thief.

There have been several rather hilarious and poor quality thieves making the news recently I hasten to add… I simply have to point out some things that I rather perversely find hilarious… You have to read this stuff… (more…)

I could not manage to stay awake and stay up to watch the US presidential debate live last night. I must admit, I wanted to. I am fascinated by the entire process and the way they get to lock horns directly over there prior to being elected. Bit different to here where our politicians shout at each other across the house of commons after they are elected…  

Anyway, by all accounts, Obama needs me.

Today in this news report at Fox News, and in my favourite magazine ‘Mens Health’ Barack Obama says we should go easy on him for smoking because he is running for president. Is that an ok excuse? Is there an ok excuse at all these days? Let me tell you what else was said… He admitted ‘bumming ciggies on the campaign trail here and there… Want to know what else? …   (more…)

Well, it really is a good job that I am a married man… Apparently, my current nerd status is likely to have women flocking all from far and wide to have relations of all sorts with me and those like me… At least according to an encouraging article at the New Scientist entitled “Braininess boosts likelihood of sex“… And there was I thinking it was just my incredible good looks that was doing the trick!

I read the title and thought, heck, are the readers and writers of New Scientist magazine just trying to encourage and maybe even kid themselves… Maybe trying to make their readership feel better about themselves? Well, let me tell you some more about this and we’ll see…. (more…)

In the members are of my website, I started a thread going about our pace of life and thought I’d add my (slightly edited) first entry on that thread for your reading today…

Katie told me on a couple of mornings this week, that I woke her up on a few occasions in the night because I was laughing in my sleep. I loved hearing that. She has said it to me a few times in the past fortnight…

It is Katies birthday today, her first since we have been married. Ater handing her the sack loads of cards and handing over her birthday gifts, she tootled off to work…

The closeness between us made me reflect on our time together and for some strange reason, I just kept thinking back to all the times I nearly cried or have cried with her… I mean, I even blogged about me blubbing in front of the TV coverage of the paralympics, so inspired and in awe I was.

I cried while we practiced our wedding vows… When we’ve watched films… Even in front of TV shows that are so cheesy, I know I shouldn’t… Blimey, my Dad and Granddad would think I was very soppy, my football pals would likely pull my leg, my favourite song by The Cure was ‘Boys Don’t Cry‘ … What is it all about?
