Who Is The Best Hypnotherapist In The World? Or The Hypnotist With The Biggest Head?

As a life-long Nottingham Forest football club fan, one of my top two sporting heroes is Brian Clough (the other being Stuart ‘Psycho’ Pearce) - he took my team, a relative minnow of a team, to TWO European Cup finals in successive years and we won them both!

I think he had every right to be proud of what he did…. Now the reason I mention this today is because he used to refer to himself as Old Big ‘ead. He openly loved the fact that he was that way and it made him even more of a hero in my book.

Apparently, it is not just purely over-confidence or big-headedness… If I openly testify to being the best hypnotherapist on the planet, I am not just being unnecessarily biased. Research demonstrates as much… (more…)

Hypnotist Is Not The Only One Malfunctioning After Lack Of Sleep

What a brilliant weekend!

I could go on and on about how utterly amazing it was to watch the Bournemouth Symphony orchestra playing Beatles songs with a backdrop of breath-taking fireworks on Friday night in Meyrick Park near to where we live. Wonderful…

However, it is my Saturday night that I want to reference here today…

On Saturday night we went to a friends birthday party at a bar that was hired out for our exclusive use. Favourite old music was being played, we drank and ate too much, I got carried away and excited at every chance, danced applenty and we went to bed far, far later than any respectable people in their mid-30s should!

I got up and did a few bits on Sunday and we had a fabulous lunch… Then Katie and I started malfunctioning as human beings… (more…)

Hypnosis Rescues Shopaholic Who Blew £200K!

I have worked 2 out of the last 3 weekends… Been working some crazy hours for the past month as my business thrives in various different ways… My marathon training has started… We are fixing up our wonderful home… All in all, I am feeling a bit pooped.

If you read my ezine this week, you know that I have been ranting on about the notion of caring for yourself, revitalising and energising this month… So I need to practice what I preach, don’t I?

I am having a massage today… I am going shopping to spend a load of money on myself… Tonight, Katie and I are going to have a picnic in the local park and then we are going to watch Bournemoth Symphony Orchestra play Beatles songs, we have a relaxing day together tomorrow and a party to go to tomorrow night…

I can’t wait.

The reason I mention this - is because of one sentence I just wrote - “I am going shopping to spend a load of money on myself“…. Funny how that makes us feel good, isn’t it?

For some, that good sensation turns into a need, almost like a fix… and we have all seen the increasing media coverage given to  shopaholics… Some people really do get into major problems with it, I mean MAJOR problems…. (more…)

Is Your Street Making You Fat?

I have often been interested in and read plenty of books, research material and documentation over the years about environmental psychology.

In my life, for example, I have found myself drawn to older neighbourhoods because in England, they tend to have larger plots of land, be more spaced out and have a variety of differing houses (rather than all looking the same) which I find more pleasing.

I have close friends and family who are more interested in modern homes because they have less garden to look after and have modern appliances fitted and years of modern living considerations taken into account on many levels throughout the house.

Apparently street designers and city planners take into account a vast number of psychological matters these days when planning neighbourhoods. I wonder if they realise or not that the street someone lives in could be making the people who live there a lot fatter? (more…)

Self-Hypnosis Made Me Go All Gooey!

This weekend I ran my self-hypnosis seminar here on the south coast, overlooking the sea with the most glorious sunshine and what a weekend I had… Having given a lot of energy to it throughout the weekend, I like to take things easy the day after…. I had to just blog about one thing in particular though… (more…)
