I seem to be chasing the news this week… I am a day behind everyone and everywhere else… Maybe in more ways than one!! Ha.
Many of my peers are citing it… Many websites and newspapers are writing about it… This is some majorly exciting news in the hypnosis world…
The Mail Online reports on a study by University of Liverpool forensic psychologist, Dr Simon Duff.
In that study, hypnosis is shown to reduce symptoms and improve quality of life for dementia sufferers… Now this has a lot of knock-on effects as well as the obvious benefits…

When I work with clients to help them achieve their ideal size, shape and weight… I do just that. I do not refer to them ‘losing’ weight or focus on the notion of ‘weight loss’ …. Especially when you think that most her things we ‘lose’ we’d rather keep…
Blimey, people jump on and off their bathroom scales in a compulsive manner and the only measure of success is how much weight they have put on or taken off…
It is important to work on state of mind, balance and getting the shape right. Heck, at the very basic level, we all know muscle weighs 5 times more than fat and fat takes up 5 times more space… Therefore, you can alter the shape dramatically without too much weight coming off when you exercise…

I have often been interested in and read plenty of books, research material and documentation over the years about environmental psychology.
In my life, for example, I have found myself drawn to older neighbourhoods because in England, they tend to have larger plots of land, be more spaced out and have a variety of differing houses (rather than all looking the same) which I find more pleasing.
I have close friends and family who are more interested in modern homes because they have less garden to look after and have modern appliances fitted and years of modern living considerations taken into account on many levels throughout the house.
Apparently street designers and city planners take into account a vast number of psychological matters these days when planning neighbourhoods. I wonder if they realise or not that the street someone lives in could be making the people who live there a lot fatter?

This weekend I ran my self-hypnosis seminar here on the south coast, overlooking the sea with the most glorious sunshine and what a weekend I had… Having given a lot of energy to it throughout the weekend, I like to take things easy the day after…. I had to just blog about one thing in particular though…

As you regular readers are sure to know, one of my published books is about self-esteem… Lots of individuals I work with come to see me to help with confidence and self-esteem related issues and I really want to share with you some fascinating new theory and work that relates to a very different notion than you usually get in the field of self-esteem enhancement…
Have a think about the people you give the most thought to… Unusual idea? Who do you think about? Do you know what affect thinking about these people has on the way you perceive your self? This is the topic of todays blog entry and it is incredibly fascinating…
