I am just about to start packing the car for our weekend way… One thing very near the top of the list is music selections for our lengthy journey… I get to plug my iPhone in to the car and Katie brings some CD’s… I laugh out loud at some of my old music choices…

I can remember being a teenager and listening to Smiths records in a darkened room with lyrics like “heaven knows I’m miserable now” ringing around in my brain… I also find myself wanting to raise my arms in the air every time an old school rave tune comes on and imagine myself back in the early 90s jumping up and down… Is that a hypnotic effect? So, I am about to shatter all illusions that you have formed about me… No, I am no pure, white, virginal, well-behaved little angel… I know you thought that… Just as Mum used to think…

No indeed not. I have been engaging in criminal activity. Prepare to gasp in horror some more…

I drove 34 mph on a road that has a 30 mph limit… I was caught on camera… And rather than getting 3 points and a fine… I took the marvellous opportunity to attend a drivers awareness course…

Basically, this is the reason for no major blog today. I have only just got home - having driven myself within the speed limits back here - and now have to catch up with my work…

Instead, I am taking this opportunity to announce my new audio phenomenon. It is only the second ever audio programme I have put together that is not for the general public. It is exclusively for hypnotherapists. I am extrememly proud of it and it has been a long time in creation.

Blogging - is often referred to as the democratisation of the media… any blogs are banned in certain countries and many believe, it is alleged, that in the build up to the Olympics China was blocking access to a great many blogs…

Any person that cares to, can blog regularly and then broadcast their inner-most thoughts to the world… Or rant about the NHS and modern personal development as I tend to… For many of the blogs that I follow regularly, what is essentially a high-tech diary has become a harmless hobby…For some, they educate me and advise me… For others they keep me on top of my professional game… In some cases, blogs even lead to fame and fortune….

So who are these bloggers? Are some personality types more likely to blog than others?… What do the answers to those questions say about me? (more…)

I can remember being sat in school morning assembly and quite often being on the receiving end of a teacher calling out “Eason, sit still, will you?!”

Yes indeed, I often fidgeted and wriggled at times when utter stillness was the only acceptable behaviour… Oh the things kids have to endure…

I often comment on how funny I find it on my self-hypnosis seminars that everyone listens attentively in complete stillness while I am xplaining and teaching the content. Then when the time comes for people to experience hypnosis, often for the first time… They all start scratching, wriggling, sniffing and fidgeting like crazy! WHen Iwant them to be still and concentrate, they start doing the opposite…

Funny things, aren’t we?

So as you sit there reading this here, I allow you to freely scratch, fidget and feel utterly free to wriggle until your backside is content as I talk about another Olympian who needs to keep still and focused more than any other… And did so in order to get gold… (more…)
