I get asked about past-life regression a lot… I get lots of people making enquiries and wanting to see me to experience past-life regression… I always refer these enquiries to other professionals who deal and specialise in past-life regression induced through hypnosis, because I don’t really know where I stand on the subject.

I firmly believe that in order to successfully do something with a client, you must believe in what you are doing and saying. You need to be congruent and demonstrate integrity. And because I have no real depth of belief about past-life regression, I leave it to others.

Now I am not sure if I have mentioned this before… I wrote a bestselling book on self-hypnosis and it is my belief that the self-hypnosis process and state development - when done properly - can have some simply amazing and often seemingly miraculous effects upon your life. You’d expect me to say though, wouldn’t you?

However, sometimes, even the most rudimentary self-hypnosis skills can also have very powerful effects.

This weekend, I met my adorable week-old nephew for the first time. He is so beautiful and I could easily spend this entire blog entry oooh-ing nd aahhh-ing about him.

However, during the drive home, I was discussing how amazing those early years of life are and how crucial they are to our own development. Many believe that so much of what goes on at that early stage is what programmes us for life. Heck, I work with many people who firmlybelieve the root of their issues lie in the very early childhood. At the end of last month, I read a very interesting article in the online magazine BrandWeek.com. I have been meaning to write about it for a while now…

Now this may not seem like the usual online environment for me to be quoting, however Kenneth Hein wrote an extensive article about how major bluechip and fortune 500 companies are using hypnotists to elicit more accurate and ‘deeper emotional’ information from their focus groups.

I love reading about these new ways that hypnosis is being used to advance buiness as well as within the usual herapeutic environment. It is like the corporate world is getting a therapeutic hand along… (more…)
