I really like it because it shows someone who knew relatively little about hypnosis and its applications for enhancing childbirth, was originally very sceptical… Then was transformed in opinion when he experienced it. (more…)
Well, it has to be the ultimate way to get the brain addicted to something, doesn’t it?
You stare at a screen with a wide variety of images. You get a very real, physical feeling attached to it, what’s more that is a highly pleasuarable feeling. Flashing lights. Your brain fantasizing. Sounds of all kinds. A certain element of naughtiness and being safe in your own private place while having this experience. (more…)
I read this piece of hypnosis research report at the Washington post recently… It was abracted from the Journal of Gastroentorology… I do not usually read that particular journal… At least, it is not quite as much of a usual feature in my magazine rack in my lounge alongside the usual suspects of Men’s Health, Viz, The New Scientist…

I watched a fascinating documentary on Channel 4 last night - all about the End of the World Cult.
A good friend of mine on another blog said she found it “depressing, not because of the content, but because someone chose to make this film on the premise that these people are in a cult.”
